Email
All of our websites come with email hosting as part of our complete website package. Email can be accessed in your office using a mail client like Outlook, or you can access it remotely using our web interface. In addition, your email accounts are protected from spam using an industry leading spam filtering product. You can easily and quickly set up email accounts for your entire firm using our backend management tool, CPANEL.
Exchange Server
No matter what your situation is we can work with you to make sure your email is set up according to your accounting firm’s needs. While we offer our clients a complete email package if they want to use it, we have clients using multiple email solutions, including MS exchange servers and third party solutions. Whether your exchange server is in house or with a 3rd party provider, we will work with you to set up your website and integrate your exchange server.
Domains
A domain name, a.k.a. DNS record or your web address. The most important thing to remember is that you want to own your domain name so that it will always be yours. We can work with all different types of scenarios including new domain, existing domain, multiple domains, etc. The bottom line is that if we purchase a domain on your behalf, or if you transfer a domain to us to host for you, you will own that domain regardless of whether you remain our customer or you move to another firm. We will not hold your domain hostage or charge you to get it back as some firms will do.
New domain: We can help you select and purchase a new domain name to use with your new website. You own the domain name and can choose to have us manage the domain name for you, or you can set up an account with a provider like Go Daddy or Network Solutions and manage the domain with them. Either way, you own the domain.
Existing domain: If you have an existing domain we can help you update the DNS record for that domain to point to the new site we are developing for you. In most cases your domain will stay with the firm that is the current domain host, i.e. Go Daddy, Network Solutions, etc. If necessary, we can work with you to transfer the domain to us to manage for you.
Multiple Domains: Many of our clients map multiple domains to their website. This is easy to do and we can work with you to make the changes necessary to your DNS record to make that happen.
Detailed Visitor and Traffic Reports
Every website we publish comes with a secure backend management system we call CPANEL. This is the area where you will have access to review your website statistics, i.e. visitors and traffic. The reporting capabilities will allow you to see visitor and traffic information for any time frame you specify. There are a wide range of reports available and a very comprehensive help section if you need more technical help.
Secure File Exchange System (a.k.a. File Transfer)
We offer a platform to securely exchange files (especially large QuickBooks files) with your clients. Our secure File Exchange System is easy to use and set up, and is a much safer way to transfer sensitive financial spreadsheets than by going through email.
Data Center
Our Data Center is fully managed 24 hours per day. Access is strictly limited to technical staff. Electronic security cameras are inside and out. External walls are concrete poured to a height of twenty feet.
Redundancy
Multi-tiered and designed to allow the network to rapidly self-heal failures. All core routing and switching equipment is state of the art from Cisco.
Temperature and Humidity Control
Precisely regulated year-around. Each unit contains independent compressors and cooling loops to enhance fault tolerance and reliability. Air filtration systems actively remove foreign particles from circulation.
Back-Up
Data back-ups are done nightly. All websites (including email and files) are written to back-up drive. Off site backup is done weekly.
